About the Hawks
The Pleasant Hill Hawks play an “interlock-style” of travel baseball, promoting a team spirit that is not simply about chasing tournament trophies. Hawks teams draw athletes in the area and play teams from local communities including Martinez, Walnut Creek, Piedmont, Fremont, Danville, Brentwood, San Ramon and others. Hawks teams also participate in local Northern California tournaments, but they are often within a 90-minute drive of our home field. The Hawks play a very competitive brand of baseball with a focus on learning the right fundamentals. Parents are not expected to travel every weekend to tournaments, and rosters remain stable throughout the season.
Hawks teams follow the mission of the Pleasant Hill Baseball Association, an organization that believes that all the players should have ample opportunity to play, improve and have a supportive—but still competitive—platform to become a better baseball player. The typical Pleasant Hill Hawks season includes 40-50 games and runs from January through June.
Cooperstown Berth
Each season, the 12U Hawks team has a berth to play in a 5-day tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park near the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. The tournament takes place each summer between the first week of June and August. This event is considered a requisite for playing on this team. All players selected to this team will be expected to participate in this event. The registration for this event is around $1500 per player. This fee includes all meals and lodging at the event, memorabilia, etc. for the player only. It does not include player airfare or any expenses for parents/family members traveling with the player.
The team will be actively seeking sponsors and hold fundraisers to offset as much of this expense as possible. This fee is in addition to any team fees and Hawks fees. For more information about the tournament, visit www.cooperstowndreamspark.com.
Financing is secured through the sponsorship of the teams by business firms in the area and registration fees for each player. For more Hawks history, see https://www.phhawksbaseball.com/about-us/history/
